I want to start by telling you what home-cooked food means to me. You see, I find baking and cooking to be therapeutic for me. Just like writing, it takes time and effort to produce a delicious dish or dessert. I have to pay attention to detail and put my heart and soul into it. For me, a completed book and a plate of fresh-baked cookies are both great labors of love. It's a form of expression for me, and with each word that's read and each morsel that's consumed I have given away a piece of myself.
So why am I bringing these two passions of mine together? When it comes to food, there are so many memories and feelings attached to what we eat. You remember the people, the places, the events that happened around food. Certain aromas have the power to make us nostalgic. I would be so honored if my recipes could do that for you - help you create beautiful memories and bring families together, just like my books. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Tayyaba's Butterless, Flourless, Naturally-sweetened Chunky Peanut Butter Cookies!
1 cup honey crystals (local farmer's market sells organic 100% crystals)
1 cup all natural chunky peanut butter (I prefer the one with no sugar or salt added).
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla extract (I prefer the one with no sugar or alcohol).
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Mix all ingredients together.
Form a small ball of cookie dough and place on a foiled cookie sheet.
Repeat step #3 with remaining dough keeping balls 1 inch apart.
Bake on top rack for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
